Linework is not aligning with aerial on plot

THis is shown before I plot to pdf.this is shown after I attempt to plot to pdf.

I am having trouble plotting my cad file (there are two viewports in my layout). I am using nearmaps for an aerial background and made sure I have the right coordinate system. However, once I hit plot to pdf, the linework is not aligning with the corridor in the aerial image. You can also see a duplicate viewport. Can you someone please assist me with plotting this correctly?

Are you using plain AutoCAD? Or MAP/Civil versions? No 'nearmaps' here.

Looks like your top map location is shifting over to a different area.

Hi Tanesha,
Can you post your drawing and the NearMap image? Zip them together, and if both exceed 71MB, use a DropBox or WeTransfer link.

Thanks for posting your drawing and images.
I plotted Striping Sheets 6 using DWG To PDF.pc3 instead of BlueBeam, and it seems to work OK. Try it.

Hi @jacksontdW23TR

You are connecting to WMS and using the imagery as a basemap and you are also rotating your views.

Unfortunately, AutoCAD is struggling to not only stream all that data but to rotate it too.

Your uploaded mages: (1) THis is shown before I plot to pdf. and (2) this is shown after I attempt to plot to pdf are not consistent. You want your BEFORE and AFTER to look the same, correct?

If that's correct, then try this:

Zoom in to your area so your viewframes look like this. Make sure you 'capture both viewframes. See image-1.
Right-click the WMS layer in the Map Task Pane=>RESAMPLE RASTER. See image-2.
Zoom out to gain a wider view of your site. See image-3.
Go to your layout tab=>Plot to PDF. See image-4.

Since the data you're bringing in has been resampled (reduced), AutoCAD is no longer overtaxed and can now adequately perform your plot.

When you Resample Raster, you are capturing the WMS portion that's displayed on your screen. Other parts of the WMS raster that are off-screen are not loaded into modelspace and that diminishes the heavy lifting AutoCAD must perform. To return to the 'original view' of imagery, zoom out, way, way out, then execute Resample raster again.

Thank you so much for these detailed instructions. But, how do I capture an area? For some odd reason, my online map is disabled and the capture area as well.

Zoom in tight using your mouse wheel so the area displayed on your monitor is 'just right' not too wide and not too small (you want it wide enough to fill up the viewport but not so small parts of the VP has empty space).

Next, right-click the WMS layer in the Map Task Pane=>Resample Raster=>zoom out to view the 'captured area'

<<To open the Map Task Pane=> enter MAPWSPACE on the command line=>Then, while still on command line Select ON=>Enter=>Go to Map Task Pane and right click the WMS layer=>Resample Raster.>>

You may also experience a lag in the 'streamed' imagery. Be patient for the WMS server to respond (might be 5 to 30 seconds). Look closely at the bottom of your monitor, you may see a blue progress bar when the resampling is occurring.

I am zooming closely in model space, correct? If so, I've done that and the instructions you have provided but I am getting the same result. I believe I am doing something wrong. Is image 4 the preview from the plot?

Image-4 is the plot. It's the same as the downloadable attachment at bottom of post #8.

Enter MAPCONNECT on command line and the Data Connect Palette will open. .
Next. do this.

After resampling raster, I can a see a smaller clip for the two viewframes. Then, i went to a layout, striping sheets 6, went to plot manager and selected dwg to pdf ansi full bleed 11X17, hit layout, and preview. Then, this preview is shown.

The linework doesn't show on the layout. The drawing has the linework behind the aerial image. You will have to send the aerial image behind the linework.

In the Map Task Pane, drag the WMS layer down so it's below Map Base.

You might need REGENALL (REA).
