How to Add a New Surface to an Existing Profile View in Civil 3D?

Hello everyone,

I am working in Civil 3D and have an existing profile view displaying a surface profile. Now, I need to add another surface to the same profile view. When I create a new surface profile, it appears as a separate profile.

Can someone guide me on how to add a new surface profile to the same profile view without creating a new one? I would appreciate step-by-step instructions or any best practices to follow.

Select the existing profile when you create a profile, select a Surface and ADD

hello, @sagheerrahman You must follow the following steps to be able to add surfaces to your profile.
1. Select the alignment where you want to add surfaces
2. Go to the option indicated in image 1
3. The profile generation window will open, and you must select the surfaces or surfaces to add.
4. In the added surface panel you can modify the style of the surface, once finished you must click OK.

Finally, in your created profile, the surfaces and/or added surfaces will be added.

If you want the "new Surface" profile to replace the "old Surface" profile, you need to update the old Surface to have the data of the new surface.

Or in the profile view properties dialog profile tab clear the check box of the "old profile"
