Even with the solutions shown by Jeff_M, I occasionally have problems with this issue. Generally when it acts up I will close out of CAD completely. Open C3D again start a new drawing create an assembly and click on it. It should show as an assembly in properties. Then open the drawing where you were previously having issues, and it should be temporarily resolved.

I don't know of a permanent fix, but that is my work around.

Have an issue with C3D 2025 to where it won't show my assembly object data in the Properties Dialog Box, just displays AECC_ASSEMBLY?,

I've uploaded a PDF that the top displays what happens in C3D 2025 and the bottom image shows

what I'm looking for when I used C3D 2024, which includes all the data info and you can edit.

Short of resetting and re-installing C3D 2025, is there anything to solve this? replace a file or system variable tweak?

Thanks for any help.

DP

That sounds really frustrating, especially since it was working fine in the previous version.

From what you described, it doesn’t seem like a big issue that needs reinstalling the whole software. Sometimes new versions just glitch a bit or don’t load things properly at first. A simple reset or reopening the project can often fix it.

You could also try opening a different file to see if the same thing happens there—if it works fine in another file, then the problem might just be with that one project.

Hopefully it’s just a small bug and gets sorted quickly. Let us know if you find what fixes it

I believe I read a release note that 2026, or one of it's updates was supposed to fix this issue.
