2022 selection and display issues

I have had a tough time with 2022 selection and graphics issues. The past few weeks have been really bad.

I lose the ability to select random things in my dwgs regularly. Sometimes if comes back after a few mins but I don't know what triggers it to come back. Otherwise I have to close and reopen.

It used to be every couple hours which was annoying but not terrible but now it's happening several times an hour.

I also lose ability to type in the command line regularly. This is a separate incident from the above.

Also a separate incident, my modelspace will go blank and does not come back, I can see everything if go to paperspace but when I come back to model it's still not visible. I can select it things though. regen doesn't fix. Again I have to save, close and reopen the dwg.

Currently on 2.1 update

This is a tough one that many people may need to chime in on. I have not had this issue exactly, but I'll get one where my crosshairs disappear in the drawing area, but I can still click in the drawing area and in the menu area, my arrow shows up for my mouse. The only fix for my issue that I have found is to close the drawing and re-open. I am not sure if both of our issues are due to bad graphics cards, multiple displays (have 3 monitors), or what.

First step is to check what graphics driver you are using. It would be best to use the "Certified" drivers from Autodesk for your card, but this is not always necessary.

Worst case, uninstall and a clean install.

Can you share with us screenshots from your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG commands pop-ups please?

Similar problem in C3D2021, usually related to working in and with viewports. I had it happen today where I tried setting the scale in a VP and another time just trying to grip edit the VP size and both times it seemed to hang but I could still click on menus and have them open but couldn't do anything in model/paper. This started happening after getting a boatload of polyline contours in there along with some photos. I tried 3DCONIG settings, AUDIT and purging regapps. I wasn't far into the DWG so I starting a new dwg and pasted everything in and no more problems. I figured something got corrupt and moving to a blank dwg fixed it.

Dean, as requested... I go back and forth with hardware performance but more often than not, turning it off solves more issues.

Paperspace VP's or Model VP's?

the current trouble maker dwg I have two modelspace VP's enabled.

I'm very hesitant to move to a fresh dwg as we've tendered part of the project and other sections going shortly. I see this solution all the time but feel it would wreak havoc on my data shortcuts. Using projectwise as well which makes data shortcuts super sensitive to drastic changes.

I always question the multiple displays/graphics card capabilities as well. I work with 2 monitors and my laptop open and see some really strange things sometimes.

I was able to get Autocad 2022.1.3 and civil 3d 2022.2.2, 2022.2.3 & 2022.2.5 updates installed.

still having the issue.

Just came to say I'm on 2023 update 3.2 and experiencing the same thing. It happens frequent after editing objects. It just happened to me while resetting a line label.
