We are having the same issue!! Has anyone found other solutions other than just switching back to 2025 and waiting for the Hotfix?

I recently switched to Civil 3d 2026 and noticed an issue where the profiles that are part of the xref drawing do not show up in a viewport at any scale. Both files are set to the same annotation scale and other objects like polylines and mleaders from the xref are visible. The issue only seems to exist in Civil 3d 2026 because when I open the file in C3D 2024, all apsects of the profile are visible. I have attached a screenshot from paper space of the same sheet when opened in 2026 and 2024.

As a temporary workaround. Can you DRef the Profile?

I haven't done much data referencing so I'd have to look into that. We try to keep C3D objects out of our main files to keep file size down, so normally we data shortcut pipe networks and xref the pipes file for the profiles. Would it be an easy adaptation or should I just open C3D 2024 when I need to print?

Either way. Drefs don't bloat a drawing too much. I was only thinking of it as a temporary fix. But you should look into Drefs. We use them extensively. Especially for larger Surfaces. Keep the Surface alone in one file and Dref it as needed for Profiles and Design work.

I agree with keeping as much as possible out of the file you plot from. Using Drefs and Xrefs I have very little in the plot drawing other than Layouts and some label text.

Isn't there an issue where the viewport type has to be set to "Profile" for it to display correctly?

it is not working.

in my case, I wanted to show only the top band text in the viewport.

when the top band is showing together with the profile view, everything was ok (screenshot 1).

but when I cropped the view port, showing only the top band text, after REA, the texts were not showing, either AECCVIEWPORTOPT is on or off.
