Did you create the kerb gutter & heel kerb subassemblies from polyline ?

If yes maybe you didn't define the codes & links for these subassemblies, cause parameters value from the assembly properties shows empty.

Just throwing a thought, i suggest to add offset assembly for the parkings and then attach kerb gutter to it, and you set your parking polylines as a target for the kerb subassemblies so that it will be traveling along the parking polyline. like this maybe your kerb gutter will be rotated along parking curves.

just give it a try.

First, let me make sure I understand the issue.

From what I've read, it sounds like you want to exclude the points (as shown in my image below) from the surface and have the surface follow the yellow line.

If that's correct then you need to change the codes assigned to these points within your subassembly. If these points are named "Datum", they will be included in the surface. You didn't provide the sub-assembly so all I get is errors when I try to look at your corridor.

At first I thought it was an overhang correction issue but on closer inspection, it isn't. The overhang correction appears to applied correctly and the sections are indeed applying the overhang correction. The problem is, you have multiple baselines for the same area that are overhanging.

The overhang correction is applied to a single section as it's being added to the surface. If you add another section at the same location to the surface, it doesn't know the other one exists and therefore won't take into account the overlapping baseline when adding the correction. If you isolate the last two regions in your corridor you'll see the issue goes away.

I discovered this by changing the display of the corridor sections in your cross sections to display just the datum links. I also applied that style to your sections and I noticed they looked different.

I see sub assemblies over lapping. I think the program is confused on which assembly to use and thus gives erratic results.

I have never seen assemblies and corridors setup quite that way so I don't know if there is something I'm unaware of that allows this to work in other cases.

An interesting problem.

I tried several different methods, looking for a solution that would be as dynamic as possible and produce the most accurate model. I don't have your custom curb subs, so the assemblies and corridor I built is simplified, using only OOTB subassemblies. I settled on a solution that uses three separate corridors with dynamic featurelines linking them together. I started by creating two offset alignments which define the edges of the roadway pavement at the curbs. I then created two more offset alignments from the first ones which form the back edge of the curbs.

The first assembly and corridor builds the travel and the parking lanes, using the first offset alignments as targets. The ETW featurelines were extracted with dynamic links, to be used in the next corridor.

The second corridor uses two offset assemblies, so that the curb subs are built perpendicular to the offset alignments. This corridor doesn't have a designed profile, so there are LinkVertical subs which target the featurelines from the previous corridor to get the elevations right. This corridor also has two extracted featurelines at the back of the curbs.

The third corridor for the sidewalks was harder. I wanted the sidewalks to be perpendicular to the centerline, and only create sections where the curb sections were. I had to build separate assemblies for the left and right sides, and set the corridor frequency controls so that it only builds at the featureline points from the curbs.

Any changes to the main alignment, layout profile or the offset curb alignments will be updated in the model.

Steve
Please use the Accept as Solution or Kudo buttons when appropriate
