I've spent the past hour googling how to label the slope of a profile. I found nothing. This is the closest I get to maybe finding a solution to something that should be so obvious and easy to do. Can you tell me how to get to this dialog box in v2022?

Add line labels to the profile that use a style showing percent.

You can also go to the "Annotate" tab then click on the label icon in the upperleft hand corner which will pop up a dialogue box. Then in the Feature drop down select Profile View. Then in the Label type drop down select Depth. Click on the blue box w/ a pencil, now you have to modify the label style to you company standards, but in order to get the percent grade you go to the "Layout" tab, then in the component name drop down select depth. In the Contents section under Text click in the right column then click the 3 little dots that show up. Another dialogue box pops up and you clear whats in the viewer to the right, now in the properties drop down select "Grade between Point1 and Point2" then press the button w/ an arrow on it, then press okay, press okay again. To add the label press add and it will prompt you to select a prof view so pick the grid in your prof view, then select the 2 points you want to know the grade between. For the grade to be pos/neg the direction you select your 2 points matters, i.e. left to right, or right to left.

how do you change the increment for this slope labels? I want them to label closer together but I can't seem to find how to do that. So that way large distances have 2 labels instead of just one.

Here an expression I used on the profile under Depth label.

or one in one for degree - "RAD2DEG(ATAN({Grade between Point1 and Point2}))"

Note Copy and pastes doent work, just recreate the above text.

if you want that labeling like this, you need to add Insert PVI in Edit the vertical geometry, after that you will get labeling automatic on which location what you want.
