Using Civil 3D 2022:

When I try to create a new pressure network parts list, there are no available items to select when I try to add 'materials' for pipes or 'types' for fittings/appurtenances.

I have tried setting to current/adding different C3D default pressure network catalogs to the parts list, and they appear empty as well.

In the various 'add' windows I have right clicked and hit refresh and that did not make a difference.

I can see the pressure catalogs have parts when I open them in the Content Catalog Editor

I saw somewhere that customization files could make a difference? I do have a customized cui.

I have also tried the CREATEPRESSUREPARTLISTFULL command with different pressure catalogs set (SETPRESSURENETWORKCATALOG) and they just come up blank

Have tried using default catalogs from 2021 (also on our machines), same results

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

My guess is you're pathing too deep into the pressure network catalog path. When you use the "SetPressureNetworkCatalog" command, try setting it one folder higher than what you have typically been setting it to. In our office, Civil 3D is pathed to "C:\CADSupport\Common\enu\Pressure Pipes Catalog\Imperial"

I had something similar happen years ago. I had sent the catalogs to Autodesk Support and was told they became corrupted. Autodesk had no idea how they became corrupted nor how to fix them. The only solution was to reinstall to get the default catalogs back and all of the custom catalogs became useless. After that, we mostly gave up using custom pressure parts. We had catalogs with hundreds of custom parts made and all that time and effort became wasted.

The next thing I'd check/try. Go to the computer it works on, copy that entire Pressure Pipes Catalog folder, paste it on one of the computers it does not work on and overwrite everything (prior to pasting and overwriting, make a backup copy of that folder somewhere). Start Civil 3D on that machine it was not working on and see if it now works. If so, good, if not, go to my next idea, which I can give you after you test this.

I switched to a shared drive since then.

That could be a problem as the pressure parts lists use an embedded, absolute path to the catalog that cannot be changed after parts are added. If you add parts to the parts list and the catalog is moved/renamed then those parts have to be recreated in the parts list using the new catalog. That could be why you have problems.

I am trying to create a new parts list. The parts catalog we are supposed to use is a shared one on the P drive. I tried the C drive to see if it would help but it didn't so I put it back to our P drive. Neither one works.

However, the one computer that is working seems to work no matter what drive I use.

Yep, so make sure your pressure network catalog is set to your p:\drive, then create a new parts list from that catalog. Create a pressure network in a drawing and save that drawing somewhere on a server. I even double check the catalog settings as sometimes they get finicky after you initially switch them. Then go to another computer, set the pressure network catalog to the p:\drive, open that same drawing, can you use that pressure network? Are you seeing that same parts list?
