Recently my C3D 2016 cursor has started to flash back and forth between the normal crosshairs and the spinning blue wheel indicating it's busy, even though no commands are active; it never stops this annoying action. Additionally, if I make some changes in corridor parameters, the cursor blows up and becomes an almost nonstop blue wheel. (There are no lag or delay issues.)

I read a post where changing the Toolspace Settings to "Master View" solves this problem, but I always keep it in Master View, so that didn't help.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Update: if I close out Toolspace, everything returns to normal. If I open Toolspace, all the cursor mayhem returns immediately. It doesn't seem to be related to any one file. Rather, it seems to frustrate me across multiple projects. And, it doesn't affect anyone else on our server.

I hate it when that happens.

I've just moved onto a PC with the annoying spinning blue wheel when running C3D, and thanks to the earlier comments, I think I've managed to banish the irritating spinning blue wheel.

Fortunately, it's as easy as adding ...

C:\program files\autodesk\autocad 2016

... to the support path (under OPTIONS)

I hope it assists someone else, because it's been driving me nuts too ...

I have this issue on all my CAD machines with 4 machines running on HP Z800 workstations with W7000 video card and 12 machines running on Parallels on Mac Pro workstations with dual 700 GPUs.

We just rebuilt all our machines and it is still happening.

Windows 10 Fall update (1709)

IDSP 2018 with C3D2018_1 installed

As soon as we open toolspace, the Blue spinning wheel appears on the pickbox in modelspace and paperspace

Just the blue spinning wheel appears when hovering over toolspace but we can still select/modify/use toolspace objects and properties.

When we close toolspace using the icon on the toolbar (palettes section), C3D becomes permanently unresponsive (unhandled loop). A red line also appears around the Toolspace icon on the palette menu and never goes away.

When we hit the "X" on the toolspace panel to close it, C3D does not crash (it takes several seconds but doesn't crash).

Some programmer has messed up the wait cursor function when toolspace is launched or underestimated how often it is being called by toolspace.

When I try to take screenshots, the cursor always appears normal in the image.

I have set all my file paths (options file tab) to local C: drive locations.

Please Please fix it. My users are smashing keyboards

I found this thread while trying to find the answer to the spinning wheel on my cursor. Being that this thread is a bit old you may have already found the answer I am posting.

I tried changing to Master View per one of the replies on this thread and it did not work. It did not work because I was in the settings tab in Toolspace. I switched to the Prospector tab and there I saw that it was in Active Drawing View. The spinning wheel stopped once I switched it to Master View. I switched the settings view to Active Drawing View and the spinning wheel did not come back so make sure you are in the Prospector tab when you change to Master View.

23020 and this still isn't fixed! There are so many little thing that desperately need addressing. Maybe time Autodesk to address this stuff rather than just letting things get worse. After Being an LDD and C3D user for almost 20 years I'm really considering going to Bentley.

SidGariss's reply worked for me.

Autodesk, please fix ALL of these annoying little issues before continuing on whatever path you are on. There are hundreds of these glithches which many I have been reporting for years to no avail. Crashes and glitches abound. Someday somebody is going to make a CAD that is exactly like yours but not have it's problems and I will be first in line to buy it.
