The solution is to do as @Udo_Huebner said. Just export the surface XML for your EG_Reservoir, delete the existing definition and import the new definition back into the same surface. Then you'll have to possible rebuild some other items that don't link up.

Hi

Apology if there have been similar issues posted already. If posted could you guide me to there. I have edited a surface by deleting triangles of the surface. Now what I wanted is to delete (remove) all the edit history so that the edited surface becomes the permanent model (don't want to go back to original surface anymore). See attached snapshot of the edit history. Could you suggest me how to do it.

I am using Civil 3D 2023 UKIE.

Export edited Surface to LandXML, then import LandXML. The new Surface does not show the edits anymore.

Hi Udo,

Thanks for your advise. I am already aware of this solution. But I want to edit the surface without exporting LandXML and import again because I want all the corridors , Design surfaces etc undisurbed. Otherwise only option will be to export LandXML and import the LandXML with the edited surface and reassigning the profiles, corridors with the newly imported LandXML.

1. Export "ExistingSurface" with all your edit to LandXML

2. Reimport the Surface als Landxml to "NewSurface".

3. Delete all edits from "ExistingSurface",

4. than paste "NewSurface" into "ExistingSurface"

All targets to Corridors should remain then.

What is the harm of leaving the edits? The surface would get a datashortcut for everyone to use. As long as they are using the datashortcut there is no danger of anyone meddling.
