topic Parts Builder : Manhole Structure in Civil 3D Forum

I have a Sanitary Sewer Structure Style, where I would like for the Plan View to have an 'S' on the cover of the structure. Is there a way to go into parts builder to make this happen? I currently have the style set to show "outer part boundary" for the plan view. For display I have Structure and 3D Solid turned on. The 3D Solid layer turns on the frame/cover and that is where I would like the 'S' to show up.

Typically, I just have the style set to use a defined part (an autocad block) ie. SS MH cover.

Thanks!

Good morning...

To be short...no. The parts builder is only for 3D entities...no annotation objects are understood. The only thing you can do is make a block to represent the structure in plan view. Here, we use a circle with an SS in the center, and the structure style for plan view inserts that block in plan view whenever that structure is used in a pipe network...
