How to pass information from Excel to AutoCAD to graph something

I'm working with information in Excel, it's all about a concrete girders in a dock, and I have some quality tests data, I need to pass these information to a plan just to situate the results on top of the dock. I'd thinking about to use CivilCAD but, I don't know if it's posible, because I need to use scales, and units for join both of the information and they can match.

Sorry if I can say it so clear, but it's hard to explain.

If the tests have an x,y and optionally z value and other info in columns then you can use points and labels to import the data but I'd probably just copy and paste the spreadsheet in to the drawing

Graph? Sounds like a profile or section results ?
If it some material test results ...(I can't believe I'm saying this) ...make the chart in excel and paste the OLE 😳 Into cad...

Well... I'll try to say it more clear with some pictures.

This is a part of my dock... I have quality information about each section of the dock, and I need to create a graph above of these dock to show how is the behavior between each axis and compare data. The graph need to have the same section that the dock just to match.

Thanks. uhm, Do you mean thant I can use these tool for do what I need?. I'm worry, because I need this as quick as I can, and I really dont know how to do. I understand that I need to buy that. am I right? or exist some tool that I don't need to pay for ?

Hi.
The data that I have are some quality information about each section. I just need to situate these information in a graph above the dock just to see and compare the behavior between each axis and evaluate the status of the dock.

Copy from excel and past in AutoCAD.
Automatically OEL object is created. You can even open this OEL object whit Excel. Think like this the excel file will be inside DWG.
First try it, copy something from excel and past it in AutoCAD.

Sure... I hope you can understand me. I'll try to be more clear about what I need to do.

I'm trying to make a graph with the following excel data. I'm interested in having the graph with the same scale as the drawing (a dock) and also the sections have to match.(the ''claro'' have to match with the section in the picture and ''Resistividad'' are the section's quality data.) So, I have to calculate the distance ''x'' for graph.

As many other have said I would use Excel to create a graph then past an ole image (pastespec or Pastelink command) to display in Civil3d as excel does this really well.

However I don't follow your statement with regard to "calculate x"..

So you could consider creating a custom point file from the data containing all information then use this to project on the plan (assuming that x could be distance along an alignment?)

You could use this to create a pointStaOffset report and project a profile from the data.

Perhaps to assist everyone can you give a little more info on the graph and data. What's the X & Y relate to, where or how do you calc x etc.

I tried to create a graph in Excel and then paste it to AutoCAD, but I think I prefer to use just lines without background.

Yes... ''x'' are the distances along an alignment, in this case are the distance along the dock.

Finally... what do you mean with ''create a pointStaOffset report'' ? and where can I find how to do?

you have 3 data points for each claro (please define)

what you can do is create an alignment or use the ones you have . I excel you need to add a column for station values,

presuming eace "claro corresponds to a station section and the 3 data points are to be graphe indipendently

in excel you need to create a file of <station> <data point(n)> (no brackets) n= data point for claro

eventually you will need 3 excel files

file 1

station data point 1

file 2

station data point 2

file 3

station data point 3

each file needs to be saved to csv, then you can create profile from file and you will get your graph in civil3d

I have 3 data points for each "claro" because it's from diferents sections of the girder in the dock. I'll show you in the following picture... In some cases I have just 2 data points. And I need to one graph with 3 differents data points or in other words... 3 differents lines in one graph.

1.- Patin Superior

2.- Alma Superior

3.- Patín Inferior

Assuming each data point per claro may have a different station value you would make a file like this. Note I only put claro in for illustration. the ultimate cvs file will only contain the station value and the data point value. And I am assuming each data point is independent of the others per claro. If each not independent then one file is all you need. I interpreted your data to want 4 independent graphs.

your file would have no headers just two cols with station , data

what Im doing here is using station and you data points to be represented with a layout profile. The cvs file can be imported in one of the menus

Alternately, if your data is not in the hundreds or more and can reasonably be entered by hand you can do so in the profile geometry PVI view panorama.

If I interpreted you data set correctly, then yes. An if your goal it to present the data in a lineal graph (a profile) then yes
