Hi there. So there's a lot of facets to your question. Starting with the alignment labels, be sure to have them convert to tag mode when you add them to a table as that is what will appear in the alignment table; therefore, it's important to use an appropriate label style for this to work, manual overrides on a curve label will not likely be displayed in a table. Regarding tables, you cannot manually change the values in a table, you can add or delete rows. Also the table properties can be set to static or dynamic link to the alignment labels so you might want to check that too.

For numbering, this is a bit of a pit fall in C3D as there is only one counter system for the labels, and you have to go to each duplicate by hand to create. If you have 2 alignments and you want the both to start with #1 you have to create a duplicate number. You can do this by using the renumbering tools and say 'create' duplicate when it prompts you. If you want to distinguish the to curve tables, one option is to use 2 different curve label styles and put a different letter in front of the counter.

Hope this helps!

Alignment Table

I created an alignment tables but all of the curves are custom labeled/named. I can manually change the curve labels but it won't reflect in the table, only the autocad generated curve name label. Also, I can't manually change it in the table without exploding and that would make the table lose it's dynamic properties. I would like either to work.

Also, why when multiple alignments are created the count continues from one alignment to the next? I'd like my tables to reflect independent counts of each alignment's curves and lines. For example Alignment A would have its own CURVE A1 (or A-C1) through CURVE A8 (or A-C8) and LINE A1 (or A-L1) through LINE A9 (or A-L9). Alignment B would have CURVE B1 through CURVE B3 and LINE B1 through LINE B4 and so on.

That's what led me to manually changing the curve labels in the first place, because of the continued count.

I'm currently running Civil 3D 2017

@wardka: Looking at your second question, I wonder if you have tried to renumber your entity tags and run the label and table commands? See this "https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-civil-3d-forum/renumbering-alignment-curve-tags/td-p/2896446" for more info.

If I am off the mark, please let e know I will take relook at it.

Thanks
