Do these tools exist within Civil 3D

I am considering transitioning from standard AutoCAD to Civil 3D to enhance the drafting and design of sewer systems. A consultant we've engaged mentioned that Civil 3D lacks certain critical embedded features, specifically interference detection tools for identifying collisions between pipes and utilities, as well as a tool for verifying minimum clearance between pipes. We need to confirm the accuracy of this information, as the presence of these tools is vital for our projects. Can anyone verify if this is indeed the case?

Civil 3d has tools to determine hard clashes with pipe networks. Here I'm creating a interference check to look for clashes between these two networks.

Frequently you need to check for soft clashes, where the pipes cross each other and you need to document that. There are a bunch of tools for this, but this dynamo script is free. Pipe Crossings: Dynamo for Civil3D - YouTube
