If you read the release notes for Civil 3D 2025 - I dont think it's being built.

Are we to install Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2024.1 and it will work with 2025?

Hmm...That statement is misleading though..there's no Edit in SSA function on the Analyze tab, which is huge for Workflow implications.

If you have access to the feedback platform, the infrastructure team discussed the drainage analysis workflow roadmap... They have a mostly weekly webinar covering what they are working on. This particular topic occurred at the AU Infrastructure Futures meeting and then posted on the feedback platform.

@spear_kevin_pe what does this mean-are they talking about issuing a 2025 version of SSA?

It would be nice to install it at the same time as I do the 25 C3D installs so I only have to intrude once. I can wait if there is a new one coming out soon.

Based on what I saw in that presentation, it does not appear that a 2025 version of SSA would be coming at all. In fact the workflow shown did not use a file export/import method to analysis and update the model. If you've noticed anything relating to the AEC industry, putting the project in the cloud and working with the data at a granular level is the future. Working the data could be from user input via C3D or via analysis in the cloud.

hola a todos, yo instale la actualización del SSA 2024.1, y además en el RIBBON de civil 3D, cree el comando y el boton de acceso a la edición con SSA. Pero no reconoce el comando.

If Autodesk drops support for SSA, does that mean you'll have to go to InfoDrainage? From free to a couple grand per year, I think.

The roadmap indicates some functionality in a cloud based analysis. The desktop app, is not cheap, but it is not intended for the development engineer per se. My experience with Infodrainage leads me to believe its intended for H&H watershed folks more than what my corner EV charging station might need to mitigate runoff. 🙂

Nope - the development engineer is the right persona, but it originally aimed on the UK persona, and the user concerned with SUDS/BMP/Green Infrastructure.
It combines a simple design tool + SWMM hydraulics.

True - guess I never got to do those combinations of things before. 🙂

Was always hard for me to create a single model that presented data in a way that the local agencies wanted reports for pipe and shed calculations. I often had to define two models so the catchment areas would match the intended reporting. But my shortcomings aside...

Two models are a byproduct of how the Corps initially built HEC-1 and HEC-2. Pulling it all into one model is where we should be.
