How to turn off selection window

A selection window will pop up and asking my selection every time. How could I turn this function off? I have already set the system variable PICKFIRST=1

You need to turn off the selectioncycling by selecting the button show in included pic

Make sure you have it turned on in the customization menu (3 lines at lower right).

Click the 3 bars on the lower right of screen and make sure selection cycling has a check. That will put the icon on status bar. Or change selectioncyling system variable to 0

You can also type SELECTIONCYCLING and set the value.

Value Description
0  The display options are turned off
1  A badge displays when you hover over objects that overlap
2  Both a badge and the Selection dialog box displays

I don't quite remember. What does the downarrow get you?
