I have a pressure pipe network for subdivision that loops around on itself with the beginning and the end being at the same location. I want to change the direction of the alignment representing the pressure pipe.

Hi, you should be able to select the pipe run alignment and either from the pull down menu Alignment > Reverse Alignment Direction, or use the command REVERSEALIGNDIRECTION.

I had to use the direct command at the command line. It did work, but when I went to recreate my profile views it crashed. Before it crashed I got a message saying that the pipe network had become unlinked from the alignment, so I "relinked" it. That's when I crashed.

Here's the file. The waterline in question is called Pipe Run - Loop Rd, it currently is run in a counterclockwise direction around the outside of the loop road alignment.

Thanks for uploading your file. After running an Audit, I did find that there were a couple of errors:

Unfortunately, this resulted in the Pipe Run - Loop alignment & profiles/profile views to be removed, so they had to be recreated. I would recommend not starting/ending your loop on a vertex/bend, but rather on a straight segment. I ended up moving the start/end onto the Tee for the entrance road; that way it truly connects the pipes to the fittings/tee. With the original Pipe Run Loop alignment being removed, the associated layout profile was also deleted. I had create a feature line from the alignment/profile to make a temporary surface as a reference for elevations; but the profile can be recreated from tracing over the surface profile.

I wish I had a better answer for you rather than having to recreate, but at least now the pipe run is running counter-clockwise and is connected from start to finish.

Thanks for looking into it. I'll give that a try as well. I was obviously trying to avoid all the other steps, but that may the necessary steps for such drastic change in the data.

Thanks again!

I would think that it should break a pipe run. It is no different than a road corridor, if you reverse an alignment that has a design profile, or a corridor attached, Civil 3D doesnt seem to be smart enough to reverse the stationing in those other entities, so they all break. I would assume the same would occur for a pressure run, because all the design profile data cant be easily flipped.
