Try export Civil 3d drawing from the Output menu. This will convert the contours in your surface into Polylines which you can then open in AutoCAD.

AutoCAD (not Civil 3d) has no ability to change the contour interval. If you save the drawing from Civil 3d and open in AutoCAD, it will show up as a Proxy Object (unless you have the object enabler installed). Copy / Paste isn't something I have tested from Civil 3d to AutoCAD.

I have made a TIN surface in C3D with minor contour intervals of 0.5 metres. I have tried to copy and paste into Autocad, but only the 1 metre interval contourd are showing. Is this a setting in Autocad?
