Typically I make feature lines and define them as breaklines. If line work isn't shot in while doing the survey, then I have to manually draw it in by using the PL command and choosing each point. I'm going to need most of the line work to show on the plan sheet. Then I have to somehow create breaklines. If I don't create feature lines to do it, can I just add the polylines to the surface as breaklines? Will this affect the surface?

If you look at the properties of one of those polylines is gives you one elevation compared to a feature line which has multiple elevations.

Hi,

Yes you can add polyline or line or 3d polyline as a breakline if you don't want to use featureline. Yes it will also affect the surface and use the elevation of your added breakline.

Select Surface and choose option 1 or 2

Cheers,

Jowenn

Just trying to figure out how this works. The tin lines don't actually use the breakline? So, does the polyline (now breakline) simply guide the tin lines of the surface to the elevations at the points?
