Adding elevation to contours automatically

Hi there. I'm working on this drawing with a massive amount of existing contours. I am adding their elevations manually one by one based off the GIS.

Is there a way of adding it's elevations automatically in large scale in increments of 2' instead of doing it one by one manually?

For example: Starting at elevation 1030, the next contours will be 1032, 1034, 1036, 1038, etc.

I am including a picture of my screen if it helps answering my question.

Hi @rogeriogestal30, Is this a civil 3D surface or just polylines? When you say add elevations do you mean add an elevation label or you are assigning elevations to polylines that don't have an elevation?

What u mean by "based off the GIS" , What is file type u used in GIS?

If it was imported properly, there may be elevation data attached to each polyline that tells the proper elevation. Otherwise request the full working 60-day evaluation of DotSoft's C3DTools and use this tool.

Just polylines. Assigning elevations to polylines that don't have an
elevation.

GIS is the Geographic Information System. It basically has all the
topographic information regarding the contours we have. So the GIS
basically shows you the contours elevations.

If the GIS shows proper elevations then the question becomes "how was it imported" (as in a ShapeFile?). If MAPIMPORT was used and "Create Object Data" was turned on, then a Map Draw query with property alteration should place them at the proper elevation. It's not as easy as it should be, but it can be done while obtaining accurate results.

Consider posting your GIS export (ShapeFile?) by zipping all the files provided.

Assuming the elevations were correct in the GIS and you transferred via ShapeFile format, this step-by-step procedure will help bring them in with proper elevations.
