Hi,

I have created a corridor in civil 3d and set various baseline parameters and target regions to it. when i created the corridor surface the contours show that the triangles are formed irregularly connecting the top of curb at some points.

I Have also added the featureline parameters of Back of curb, crown, ETW and top of Curb. in the surface parameter tab in the corridor properties as well.

I have attached the screenshots of the anomalies and the properties tab.

Could Anyone please guide me.

Kind regards,

VP

I get better results using Corridor Feature Lines as Corridor Surface data than I do using Links, like Top or Datum.

On the dialog, from your third screenshot, where you have Data type set to Links, change that to Feature Lines and then select which point codes to add to the feature lines.

With only a quick look at your drawing I'm struck by the way you set up the assemblies. It appears the corridor is having trouble with the curbs being separate assemblies attached with a additional baseline. The curbs should be in attached to the lane subassembly in one assembly, with a featureline or alignment/profile as targets for the lane to control width/elevation. Also the basic curb subassembly doesn't have a point/featureline code for the flowline so it needs to be attached on top of the lane instead of off then end and below, look at using one of the curb and gutter subs. You can set the gutter width to .0001 to get and effective gutterless curb.

Did the curb and gutter assembly help your surface by adding the flowline to the surface?

Have you considered using a conditional horizontal target subassemblies to decide curb or lane based on the presence of featurelines? You should be able to reduce the number of regions you have considerably.
