Subassembly for undercut

Hi,

I need to create a subassembly for this case.

P1 is a feature line and P2 is the back of walk from corridor.

I need to follow the slope 1:1 from P1 and 1.5% the undercut.

Can anyone help?

Check to see if I read your message correctly. Assuming I did, the following should help.

The slope from P1 is 1:1. I'll call this line L1.
The line from P2 down is vertical. I'll call this line L2.
The slope of the line leading from L1 to L2 is 1.5%. I'll call this L3.

What version are you using? If C3D2024 or newer, they FINALLY made it possible to use AND SHARE a custom subassembly. So I would look at using SAC to generate this:

Place an Auxiliary link (AL1) from P1 down the given slope. Distance won't matter at this point.
Create L2 from P2 down the appropriate depth.
Create an Auxiliary link (AL2) from the bottom of L2 the appropriate slope. Again, distance won't matter at this point.
Create a Auxiliary Point (AP1) at the intersection of AL1 & AL2.
Create a link connecting P1 to AP1.
Create a link connecting AP1 to the bottom of L2.

What I want is

P1 to be Back of walk
P2&L1 to be the depth of undercut
L2 to have 1.5%
L2 to have variable length
P3 to be variable
L3 to have 1:1 slope
P4 target to the feature line in elevation and offset

What is the slope of the line highlighted in yellow? I can't tell from your screenshot what is supposed to be all the different links and points. I'll go with 2:1. You should be able to modify my PKT file as needed --my goal is to point you in the right direction so you can figure it out.

Download the file. I used SAC2024.
Rename the file so it has a pkt extension instead of a zip.
