Template styles side by side comparison

I'm searching for a way to compare two templates, side by side, for quick visual inspection. My goal is to compare 2 drawing templates, side by side and hopefully accomplish one or two things: 1) identify which styles are missing from each as compared to the other and/or 2) which, of any duplicate styles, are the most recent. I've searched within these forums and across the net for an answer, but don't even come close to having any responses remotely similar to my question. So I'm probably not working it correctly.

[edit] Currently, I have both templates open in one session, Toolspace set to Master View and I'm going down the list one item at a time. This is way to time consuming and I have maybe 9 or 10 templates to do this on.

Any assistance as to how i can do this, or possibly where I can find (free or pay) a plug-in that would accomplish this would greatly be appreciated.

If you import styles from one drawing into the other, you can see which ones are missing in each file and which ones are duplicates. I don't know of a way to determine which style is the most recent style other than opening both files and manually inspecting them.

Thanks Brian. Yeah - I started to do that way, and like you said, can't determine which is the latest. I guess I"m looking to see which duplicate style is the "greatest". Thats why I'm going down the list within Toolspace, so I can compare each duplicate style by opening each one and comparing the information in the General Tab, Layout Tab, Dragged State, etc. We've been tweaking styles for last 8 months or so on a huuuuuuuge subdevelopment that has 16 tracts within it, and those having phases (or -1, -2, etc maps), so every time we move on to the next map, we improve from the last, but it got out of hand with 2 or 3 tentative maps going simultaneously, while final engineering for same maps or different are also going concurrently. So, now I"m trying to bring everything back to order and consolidate to the one or two templates we have for each discipline.
