Pipe networks

Hi im new to pipe networks and I am designing a road that is soppuse to be under Markham standards. I found out that networks in Markham need to be a minimum of 2.5m below surface. My question is does the insertion rim have to be 2.5m below my allignment or it's soppuse to be just the pipes 2.5 m in depth and my insertion rim right under my allignment correct? Because I did opposite and think is wrong, there is a picture for you to see.

The rim elevation should be the ground surface.

You can specify it when you create the pipe network and the rims will automatically adjust. To do it now, select a structure, right click for "structure properties" and in the "part properties" tab select "reference surface"

Below that , in the same tab, there is also a"surface adjustment value" that can be used in certain circumstances.

Hi Thank you, yeah I realised that is what I did. I used the adjusment value and typed -2.5 that is how I got my network that below my alignment and its already referenced to. I just wanna also clarify is the elvation of -2.5m below my surface soppuse to be for the whole network (structure and pipe) or am I soppuse to leave my structures at 0 value for surface adjustment right below my allignment and just adjust my pipes to -2.5 meters elevation under surface?

Ok sorry, I just read your answer again. You are saying my rim elevation stays at ground surface and I just adjust my pipes. Then I shouldnt touch the surface adjustment value because its not a factor in this situation?
