network structure not updating in profile-help

i have a drawing that is in 2016. i have also loaded it in 2018, same results. i created a structure with rectangle shape, (its a junction structure) 8x14. i put it longways in the pipe run. then i twist it in the profile. it should change to 8' but it doesnt. if i swap the part, that changes. i have checked object view and i have it correct. its almost like the profile is set to static. also, i dont if this helps. if i change the structure style under profile to solid it behaves correctly. i would use that but its showing the pipes going into the structure, not masking it. i have attached 3 images. the first 2 are with profile set to boundary the last one, i changed it to solid. it looks right and then when i rotate it, its still good. i am at a loss and of course i have to get this job out in a day or two.

this has been a long standing issue AFAIK with the only workaround to display as solid.

if i remember correctly, in profile view the structure is drawn based on its width and not length. perhaps you can display the structure using a custom block in plan to show correctly, and swap the length for width in part builder. that way, it will show longer (wider) in profile view.

worth a shot i guess.
