Custom Location for CTB File

I have a project specific CTB file. Autocad defaults to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\C3D 2018\enu\Plotters\Plot Styles to pull CTB files from. Can you specify a different location that specific files will pull CTB file from? The idea being that anyone who opens the file from a server will automatically have access to the CTB without having to download and place it in the Plot Styles folder. Specifically I am working through ProjectWise on this project but I am also wanting to do this in the future on Windows cache servers.

You can put a shortcut to the custom file in your main plot style folder. Autocad will make it available in your page setups.

You've got the right idea. Place the CTB file on a network location where everyone has access to it. Then add that file path to the Plot Style Table Search Path. You'll need to overwrite the profile that everyone is using.

If that is not an option you can use a batch file and copy it to your users appdata folder. If it were me, and depending on the team size, I would just show them how to add the support file search path.

Just like @Anonymous indicated, the best way to go about it is to simply add the folder location of where the CTB files are living (preferably on a Network drive so every one in your office can map to it)

go to Options/Files Tab/Printer Support File Path/ "then add new folder location" (you don't have to remove the default path if you don't want to!
