I have a profile view of a manhole and pipe system. I have pipes crossing into the manhole and want them displayed. This is something that I have done before in C3D 2017 and have tried controlling it from multiple settings (currently using C3D 2019). Finally I realized that the crossing pipe is behind the manhole. What I mean is that I add the crossing pipe to the profile view, then I delete the manhole and their is the pipe displayed how I want it. Right click and changing drawing order does not work. Any ideas on how I can control this so I can see the crossing pipe into the manhole

After speaking with a coworker I think I have it figured out. I am going to change my profile view direction. Unfortunately this did not work.

You can change the "crossing pipe" to full length.

The manhole can display the connected pipe, provided the pipe isn't added to the profile view.

Another option would be to make a pipe label style that uses an oval shaped block in the label for representing the pipe section. The size of the block in the label style can be controlled with an expression using the pipe size to size the block.

Display pipe outlines shows where the crossing pipe enters the structure. I want to show the elevation of the crossing pipe at the alignment (waterline). The structure acts like a wipeout that hides the crossing pipe. Except changing the display order doesn't help. The only work around seems to be tracing the crossing pipe as an ellipse. I don't think there's any way to show both the structure and a crossing pipe that is behind it.

Maybe use a pipe label style with a block component that is and ellipse shaped block placed at the mid-point of the pipe. The size of the ellipse block could be controlled by an expression to size it appropriately.
