Hello:

I wanted to ask why and how to solve a issue that I have had for years. When I create a intersection in C3D, after closing the file and re-opening it the corridor seems to be discontinued in curb return extremes. The same happens in the .dwg where I make a external reference of the .dwg where the intersection corridor is. This happens, as well, to the data shortcuts of the corridor made in other file. This issue es very annoying and had persisted for many version of Civil 3D. Please se images.

Intersection General ViewCorridor Hole at Curb Return

It appears to me that it may be caused by exploding an mtext that has had background mask set.

It is normally not selectable with a pick but you can window it and delete it.

That's my best guess!

hello,

the problem is your corridor regions do not end at the same point.

1. turn on the corridor layer

2. select the region

3. use the grip to move the end of the region to the end of the other region

4. refresh / rebuild the surface

this should solve your problem.

good luck,

nonbeard13

hi @Anonymous :

No, that's not the problem. The regions start and end at the same point. Actually, when I re-open the drawing (as I said in the first post), I rebuild the corridor without modifying anything and it fills up every hole. But, if not, the hole persists, even in the IW model.

Please, someone can help me with this.

Try adding a small gap (0.01 units) between the stations instead of having them at the same location.

Civil 3D does weird things when the regions are at the same location. It looks like Civil 3D does two different things when the drawing is opened and then when it is reubuilt after being opened. By putting the gap, Civil 3D should behave more consistently.
