Hide and Isolate not working

Hello,

Since I did the update for my Civil 3D 2020 - 3.1, I can't hide and/or isolate objects. Also, I can't add polylines with TLEN. Is this a normal behavior?

I have not seen any 3.1 updates for C3D 2020, latest I know is C3d 2020.2

You can always remove the update through Windows Control Panel.

Select LAYISO and then go to Setting - Your probably set to Lock and Fade instead of OFF

Still not working. I attached my drawing. You can open the: 19-128-1731022-101-C01@C02-MASTER and you will a white poly accross the drawing. Please, try to hide or isolate. That would be really appreciated.

Me again,

I am still doing the same as usual: right-click object>Isolate objects>chose between isolate, hide and end. Still not working. I recently updated my 2020 to 2020.2. Can that be the problem? Just to make sure, I uninstalled the update, and no luck.

Perhaps your command got changed. Try using the underscore ahead of layiso:

_layiso

Ok, here it is. I found out by uninstalling the update for civil 3d 2020 (2020.2), I now can use the hide and isolate objects. I guess, there a fix to do with the update 2020.2.

Just to clarify, you all are talking about two different sets of commands that often get confused. Wfberry is referring to LAYISO and LAYUNISO, but arpenteur is asking about the object isolation commands (nothing to do with what layer they're on), which most users I talk to haven't yet noticed.

HIDEOBJECTS temporarily turns off the display of selected objects, ISOLATEOBJECTS temporarily turns off display of all objects not in the selection set, and UNHIDE or UNISOLATEOBJECTS restores display of previously hidden objects. The hide effect is ignored by plotting (hidden objects remain hidden but are still plotted as they would be otherwise), and it's not saved when the drawing is closed.

LAYISO temporarily creates a layer state to store the current configuration, and then turns off or vpfreezes all layers except those of the selected object(s), and LAYUNISO restores the previous layer state.

I love the HIDEOBJECTS command for getting a large TIN surface or aerial out of the way for some quick drafting and not having to remember to turn it back on before I plot.

Hi,

I am using AutoCAD 2024, I also cannot hide my constraints no matter what method I use. I have not done any updates. Came here to see if there was a solution, I tried the suggestions above, and I still cannot get 'Hide All', or 'Show/Hide' to hide the constraints; when selected, nothing happens.
