Volumes Report Generation Change Request

In the Volumes Dashboard, there is a button that allows you to generate a report. This report is quite useful, given it provides a simple summary of the cut/fill volume for our comparison surfaces. However, the script currently only allows this report to generate in Internet Explorer. As Internet Explorer is now replaced with Microsoft Edge, it would be great to have additional options for this output report. Even if it output as a txt or csv file, we would find that more useful than the internet explorer output. Several of our newer machines don't have internet explorer installed, and this command is useless without installing internet explorer.

Does anyone know if there's a workaround to this issue? If not, I'm hoping Autodesk updates the script to allow the report to be generated in a different format.

Right clicking on your comparison surface, selecting "Copy to Clipboard", then pasting to excel seems to be the best way to handle the Volumes Dashboard reporting. From there you can format to fit your needs.

Seems to me that most of the reports were designed to be printed out and not used in other applications i.e. a simple csv file would be of more use than a nice looking report with all the fancy formatting.

you are so right. Im suprised we can't get volumes by sample lines in the project explorer. I use the project explorer to get suface to surface volumes and paste in to excel but a similar workflow for sample lines does not seem to exist. Another thing that would be helpful would be a label with a leader that shows cut and fill volumes, ideally these would be dynamic and would really assist us and clients in understanidng what is going on
