I wasn't looking forward to combining all into one drawing, never used sheet manager before, never had a reason to until now. Upon further examination, the dwg package did include a sheet set dwg. file (.dst). So now I just have to learn how to use sheet sets. But, I have one more question. What is the best practice to import COGO point data from a surveyor when using sheet sets? Do I just import them into the main xref'd file or do I have to import the data into every single sheet?

Thank you

Working from home, trying to find the best way to tackle this project (see attached list). Received these drawings from engineer. Drawings ending in C** are separate plan/profile sheets, those beginning with XR*** are Xrefs. You can see in the plan/profile image, under External References that every separate sheet uses the same Xref's. To start my drawing, I open C5, then I use Design Center to add C6 as a new tab/layout, but I get extra layers turned on and some of the text comes in out of scale. It will be time consuming to fix these issues for each drawing. And I haven't even included the survey data yet. Will it be better to keep the drawings separate? If so, how do I incorporate the survey data? With all the years of experience and wisdom on this forum, I know someone has encountered this problem and know the best way to tackle it. Thank you

What exactly is it you are trying to do? I notice that your title block etc is What do you mean by "how do I incorporate the survey data?" Are the objects in the drawings just AutoCAD objects or are they C3D objects?

Unfortunately I don't know what you are trying to achieve so need a little more info.

Regards,

Peter

Not exactly sure why you would want all those drawing files in a single file. Just open up Sheet Set Manager (SSM) and add them to a short set. The other files are probably xref'd to the sheet files. Most likely this was how it was set up and is a correct work flow
