Fittings (enumerations) in Pipe Network catalog

Hi, I am creating a pipe catalog for a company and need to define fittings for it. It seems that Civil3D does not support fittings. One way is to define them through structures, but that is more of a workaround.

The question is why are there fitting type enumerations in the catalog and are they handled by Civil3D in any way?:

<TypeSet> <TypeEnum>Pipe</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Elbow</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Tee</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Wye</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Cross</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Takeoff</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Transition</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Coupling</TypeEnum> <TypeEnum>Endcap</TypeEnum> </TypeSet>

Does anyone know how to write description for them? How model template should be prepared and how to handle them in Civil3D?
