To clarify the reason for emphasizing "accuracy," I believe it is necessary to create the corridor using the offset alignment as a baseline because drawing cross-sections perpendicular to the centerline results in varying slopes for the side slopes of heavily widened sections.

However, the vertical alignment position of the offset alignment differs in elevation from the value calculated from the centerline alignment + vertical design + superelevation. This results in a significant level difference between the corridor on the centerline side and the corridor on the offset alignment side.

Hi nkiakas. thank you.

I am trying to generate a corridor in Civil 3D using both the centerline and offset alignments as baselines to accurately create the corridor. However, the elevation of the corridor based on the offset alignment baseline is incorrect. It does not match the elevation of the offset alignment position determined by the superelevation settings from the centerline. Could you please help me understand why this discrepancy occurs and how to correct it?

Hi @Wkazufumi

Now i got you.

Then you have to use offset assembly...its amazing tool. It will give the "prependicularitivity" you need. This is the purpose of this tool.

https://help.autodesk.com/view/CIV3D/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-024F09EF-EA3E-43A5-8062-B20D59CB4BC7

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFP6SHey7ng (and many more online)

Regardless from the above, i think you have chosen wrong profile for the baseline for your offset alignment...

Take a look on this

Regards

Thank you very much. I will study this further.

For the time being, I have created a corridor with the correct elevation by generating dynamic feature lines at the edges and using them as baselines.
