I have success. I set custom angle

One more solution: just rotate geometry in CAD software and make external volume in CFD after geometry rotation

Hi all, I want to simulate airflow in CFD's wind tunnel of my model.

My model is Residential buildings (i'm architect).

My project is located in a specific place on the globe.

So I have explicit inputs:

1. project location have specific wind direction and speed.

Question: how to set custom wind direction in CFD?

I'm start CFD, create new project, import my model via FBX format, wrap model and transfer wrap to setup. I'm create velocity from one polygon of the external volume and create pressure on the opposite polygon. The solver works good but wind direction has an inappropriate orientation. I want to change wind direction. How to make it? It may be possible to change external volume orientation? Thanks.

HI @Anonymous,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. You are likely relying on Geometry Tools to draw up your bounding box - is that correct?

Regardless, I suggest you draw your bounding box of Air in your CAD package. Then you can rotate it and dictate any angle of attack you want.

Thanks,
