topic Obtaining CSV from Particle Trace that provides Velocity as a Function of Time in CFD Forum

Hello all,

I am posting here to inquire about the possibility of exporting velocity magnitude data as a function of time (sec) for a massed particle trace in a flow channel. Attached is a picture of my setup. I am wondering if it possible to export a data table of (Time, Velocity Magnitude) in CSV format, instead of just the typical animation in AVI format. Is this possible? If so, how would it be done?

Thanks all.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting. At present the only available trace data for printing out to a .csv is residence time.

If you would like to see more available data in future versions please add your thoughts to the Idea station. This will raise awareness within the development team that there is customer focus on the topic.

I will be sure to vote up your idea!

All the best,

Is this functionality implemented in current versions of Autodesk CFD?
