I'm trying to run a fluid flow analysis on a basic model, I'm struggling to setup the 'build surface' and 'void fill'.

I want fluid to enter the main tube from both end and flow out of the multiple smaller holes along the tube access.

I can 'build surface on the two larger tube holes but the smaller holes along the access, I'm unable to select these to build surface to allow me to void fill the tube.

Any advice to get me going.

Model attached below.

Thanks

Hello

"Any advice to get me going."

We'd be happy to take a look at the model and give advice.

"Model attached below."

The cfdst is not the model, it's more like a table of contents. Please send the support share file (*.cfz). You might have to zip the file to be able to attach it to the post.

cheers,

Hello,

Thank you for sending the model.

Geometry tools only allows you to build planar surfaces to fill voids.

So your problem is this:

You need to eliminate the gaps between the main pipe and the small pipes.

Marwan

Hi Marwan,

Thanks for taking a look at that for me, now you've pointed it out i can see the problem.

Slight change to the last model, but I'm unable to select the smaller cutout holes along the larger tube to build the face to make a void for fluid. Could you tell me why im unable to select the smaller holes?

You really best fix the original model because you want to extend the outlets a bit for the analysis to converge and produce good results.
