topic How long does one iteration represent in actual time? in CFD Forum

Hi everyone, I would like to know how long one iteration represents in actual time. Or is there any way to understand the simulated time period from the CFD simulation? Thank you.

Hello, the question is a bit confusing as to what you are asking. If you are running a steady state simulation the time is frozen at a single point. Iterations have nothing to do with time. If you are running a transient simulation you can specify the time step in seconds. Again, iterations have nothing to do with time. In both cases the iterations are solution sets at each time.
