Hello Fred.

Thank you for the clarification of an alternative to adaptative process.

Refinement of "Cylinder" and "Sphere" is so awesome. I didn't know that.

I thought that only the boundary layer is surrounded by it, so it's effective for analysis.

I'm going to learn about turbulence and meshes.

Thanks a lot!

Keisuke

Hello @Anonymous ,

Is your question is related to your previous scenario, specially on the second half hollow sphere?

Hello, @frederic.gaillard.7

Thank you for your second reply.

Yes, it is as you said.

In CFD, half hollow sphere(typically surface part) is not allowed to use "Adaptive mesh" by users guide.

Of course, we don't have to use it, but, it looks interesting, so I would like to do it if possible.

Hello Keisuke,

Here the work around :

1. mesh the surface at required density

2. add a refinement region near the hollow sphere.

Surface MeshRefinement Region

This is not an adaptative process, you will probably have to do several iteration before reach your definitive mesh.

Hope it help

Fred
