Cannot open any .cfdst or .cfz files without "cannot open file" dialog box.

I'm having an issue where I cannot open any .cfdst or .cfz files without receiving the "cannot open file" dialog box. These are studies I have created in Autodesk CFD 2021 on this computer, and they are saved on my C drive. I have all access rights for the folders and plenty of space on my hard drive. Any idea why this might be the case?

Hello Tom,

probably you used in the simulation the Heat Exchanger material or Centrifigural Blower/Pump.

In version 2021 there is a bug that does not allow to open a file which contains these elements.

The only workaround for the heat exchanger is connected with replacing it via simple boundary conditions.

Thanks Karol. I did have a heat exchanger. I couldn't open any of my files, but I started from scratch and did not use a heat exchanger this time (applied a heat load boundary condition to a volume of air instead), and I am able to open these files.

This seems like a significant bug that prohibits you from using part of the software. Is there any plan from Autodesk to address this? Is there a way we can report bugs?

Hello Tom, the bug is known and will be fixed in the next release which should be released at the end of May.
