OK, then this is not just graphical, thanks for testing it.

We ought to do two things:

Check the Inventor geometry for integrity, chances are that something there is not quite right

Try adding a flag to CFD and tweaking the tolerance that the model is imported in as (you'll need to import it again). Go to Design Study Tools -> Flags and add 'asmcointol' to the Default Flags and try dropping the figure down by a factor of 10 or 100

Failign that - might you like to upload the ipt/asm file for us to investigate?

Thanks,

i opened my long pipe 3d geometry from inventor (roughly 160m) in cfd simulation 2015. the geometry seems good in inventor, but after i opened in cfd, the geometry is damaged. Usualy the breakage is located at the bend section. and you know, this case makes the pipe's plane not circle anymore.

you can see the images below.

what should i do? please help me. thanks a lot.

Have you tried to mesh this at all? It is possible that it is a graphical glitch.

Thanks,

i've meshed it, and this is the result of circle plane at the bend section.

doesnt work. but you know, if i reduce the geometry or pipe length, the geometry is better

this is the ipt, thanks for help

Can you try something else?

Try a manual mesh and give both volumes a 200mm mesh size. To me it looks perfectly circular.
