Dear Everyone,

Needing your expert advise on how to properly set-up my heat transfer transient analysis (only running Heat transfer) wherein I have to know/monitor the part temperature of my model from 1ms up to 60seconds. I have here attached in csv format the frequency at which I want to have a temperature value for a certain time step. I ran several evaluation but i cant get the exact output i wanted to and a little got confused of setting up "save intervals" and other option in the solve. Lastly, i have to extract and plot these values for computation purpose later on. I have here my settings:

Thanks in advance,

Leonel

Hi Leonel,

I have sent you this through the case you logged also but just for everyone elses benefit I am copying it here too.

I have what I think might be a better approach.
If you right click in the graphics window during setting up the model, you can add monitor points that will be calculated at every iteration. This is without needing to set save intervals, so they are memory free.

If you wish to take the other approach (this can be memory intensive) I recommend reading this page and also only saving 40-50 intervals at most as the analysis can become rather bloated otherwise.

I recommend option one.

Does that answer your question?

Best regards,

Jon
