Good Evening Guys.

I got a water hammer project. There seemed a problem. This software found an error while the solve applied. The error notification: Dissimilar Fluids (Two different fluid parts are touching. Check material assignment to ensure that all contacting fluid parts are assigned the same fluid material).

I ensure that there are no touching two fluid parts. To inform you this problem, I attach the print screen.

Do you have water and air touching? If so, that will explain the error, as you cannot do this 🙂

Perhaps you can remove and then reapply your material properties? Then check if you get this error message again. Feel free to attach your support file (.cfz) here. I am happy to take a look at your model.

Hi @Anonymous,

I had a look at your CFD project and it looks like you are no longer facing the issue of two different fluids touching. I opened your project and hit solve and the model worked without issue. I suspect either you removed and then reapplied the materials or maybe changed the setup a bit in CAD.
