Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! I agree that CFD can be a great application for architectural studies. The most popular workflow is to go from Revit to CFD via a CAD connection that sits inside of Revit. It can be a bit of a challenge getting a quality level of geometry necessary for CFD, but the functionality is there and it certainly can be done. Here's a few resources you may find useful.

CFD Tutorial: Human Comfort Ventilation Study

CFD Tutorial: External Solar Heating

List of CAD formats for Autodesk CFD

This area can be a bit challenging. It's hard to find a CFD person who totally understands the AEC/BIM world, and vice versa. Feel free to reach out here with any other questions. I really do think CFD can provide a lot of value in this area.

Thanks,

If I am wrong with the question please correct me. Suggest me a workflow for BIM-based CFD for Building Performance Analysis. can it be done with a conceptual mass geometry? Can this CFD be leveraged for building simulation? I'd like to know about similar softwares to do architectural scale CFD analysis.
