If you make a test, let's try to turn off hyper-threading in the BIOS and in CFDConfig2exe( installation location).

If that does not help try to reduce the amount of cores in the Solver Computers.

Hello! i want to upgrade my pc. I can’t decide between i7 13700 and i9 13900. Also, will the speed of the RAM affect the calculation speed. ddr4 or ddr5. What would you advise?

Hello,

the Ram type rather will not have a huge influence on the calculation speed. The most important one is a processor.

Overall look for a processor with a lesser amount of cores and high frequency on a single core( there is no reason to put more than 8 cores, the software will not get a huge boost for that).

So from these two i7 will be a better option. Especially the i9 has E-Cores which are created for the background processes which work on very low frequency and for the processors the Solver application is the background process.

So after buying i9 the first thing you need to do is disable the E cores in the BIOS. So you cannot use the feature for which you pay.

BR

Hi! Today I received a new computer windows 11 13700k 64gb. at first it performed the calculation 100 times slower than the old PC. I disabled e-cores in bios. The PC began to count faster, but still 2 times slower than the old computer on windows 10 4770k 16GB. Please tell me what to set

I specified 8 cores in the cfd settings and the PC began to count 3 times faster than the old one. it's better than I expected. after that I turned off hyperthreading in the BIOS, but I didn’t see the result, even maybe a little bit slower, I turned it on again. Thank you so much
