Refinement Region

Hello,

When I try to add a refinement region, after filling all the information and clicking ok, the mesh remains the same. (This happens when using a manual mesh sizing). Sometimes a window message appears saying: "region 1 has no assigned mesh size and will be ignored during mesh generation..." how to assign then?

When using automatic sizing, the refinement region only refines the edges of solid bodies inside of it. I want to get a whole region refined. I want to see a vortex shedding.

I want to produce a mesh like the image attached.

Hi,

What mesh size are you assigning to the region and what size do you have outside of it?

Assigning to the region: 0.2

External: 0.35

I tryied different combinations but also didn't work.

It is a flow over a cylinder. the cad model is a box from which I subtracted a cylinder.

Can you show the mesh on a cut plane through the centre once it completes meshing?

Did you press 'enter' when you assigned the 0.2?

I can see that there is no meshing region present there, it looks like it was not assigned.

Could you record a Screencast of the steps you are taking to assign it?

Or share a CFZ file (support file) and I can make a video to show you.

The model you sent does not have a refinement region.

Once I defined one, the mesh looks like this.

I've attached a new cfz file.
