Changing the diameters of Flow lines made by Trace method

Hello.

I'm a student researcher, and nowadays I'm working on visualizing the airflow around wings I've designed.

I've tried two different ways to visualize the airflow. One is using Vectors, and other one is using Trace.

It seems the trace method is better at visualizing total airflow around the wing, but I couldn't change the diameters of those lines.

So what I could only manage to draw is... Somewhat thick flow lines that almost look like giant-colorful worms.

Is the vector method the only way to visualize the airflow with thin flow lines, or there's another way of visualizing with trace method? Can I change the diameters of those lines? (Changing the number didn't worked)

Also, to visualize the airflow in somewhat specialized way... like this image, what should I do?

Can 3ds Max make it? or other program is needed? Couldn't I manage it with autodesk CFD?

Could you share what you have so far? We should be able to do most of what is on the page you linked. More if you move into VRED also.

It should be simple to change the diameters using the method you have.

What might be super useful is a short screencast to demonstrate your process 🙂

I suppose this would be the solution I needed. But... what version of CFD do you use? I'm using 2016 ver and there's no such icons or texts that mean something inclined to trace and diameter both. Do I have to change the version of my CFD..? (Suppose so)

You can do it in 2016, please share a video (as above) of the workflow you are using and we can help indicate what went wrong 🙂

Could you share a video (like a screencast) that captures the full screen?

I would like to see the steps you take to add the traces and then your attempt to adjust the diameter - then we can comment on what is not working 🙂

Umm... I don't have such screen capture program... actually I'm posting this on different pc that I run cfd.

So I hope you just tell me the process, like click these and those buttons, type such numbers, and whoa it works...

I'll follow any step you tell me. please teach me how 🙂
