When I loaded a geometry, the error message of failing to convert the imported geometry into an analytical model happened.

Please teach me how to load it.

Hi,

This probably means that there is something strange going on within the CAD model.

Which CAD system are you bringing it in from and are you using the CFD button within it?

Have you also tried the Model Assessment Toolkit from CAD?

I have Inventor. I only used AutodeskCFD 2018 to open the file(.cfdst).

OK, this sounds strange.

If you have the model in CFD already then you would open the cfdst. You said it failed so you should not have this yet?

If you are still trying to import it, you would be importing the CAD from Inventor.

Did you try launching into the Model Assessment Toolkit from within Inventor?

Please could you share a Screencast (video) of the process you are following so that I can try to assist? Right now it is not clear what you are doing.

It sounds like you have a problem with the CAD model and need to fix it, once I see a video it might be easier to start this process 🙂

I was sorry for not telling you my trouble well.

I have the CFD but I could't open the cfdst file by using it.

I couldn't operate the Autodesk screen well . So I upload computor screen processes below by the time the error message comes out.

Can I ask you where dose this .cfdst model come from? Did you create it yourself?

Were you able to open it before?

Can you compress this entire folder as a .zip file and send it to us?

I made the cfdst file by saving when experimenting a tutorial and following it on Autodesk CFD 2018.

Thank you for the information. I have seen a similar issue on a Korean customer. The Korean customer could not open the .cfdst file if the design name contains Korean characters.

Can you try to create a new model without any Japanese characters and open it again?

I've solved this problems a little.

The file could be opened when I changed my user account to old one.

I think this problem was caused by something like administrator authorization.

Do you know the way I open the file through a new account ?

Hi @Anonymous,

I don't know if it would help. I suggest you to try to get full control of the folder for your new account in which your model is saved in.

To do this, right click on the folder and select Properties.
