Was your Width Factor less than 1.0?

All of my text is Arial with a Width Factor of 0.75, and I'm having an issue with BIM 360 defaulting all my text, dimensions, etc. to a width factor of 1.0. There doesn't appear to be any support or documentation on Width Factor's for BIM 360.

When publishing a model to the BIM 360 cloud some of the text changes. The first picture is what is in Revit and what will print if I PDF the sheet, the second is what gets published to the cloud. The underlined text is no longer underlined, the red text gets expanded, and the project title shifts upward and is enlarged. Is there a way to fix this?

What font are you using? We encountered a similar problem when using a True Type font that is not a Windows-installed font. BIM 360 does not support every font out there. If you replace it with a Windows supplied font, (Not MS Office) does that correct the problem?

All of the text we use is Arial Narrow or Arial. I looked up what windows supported and both Arial Narrow and Arial are supported. I switched them a little to see if that fixed anything, but I still have the same issues.

I looked into the spacing that the text had and realized that that was the issue. The width factor was .75 for the trouble text and once i changed it to 1 and found a different text size it worked fine. Still having issues with the color not showing up in color.

We ran into this issue as well and what my results found were that the BIM 360 "printing" (or publishing) workflow uses DWF processes behind it. And DWF does not support Arial Narrow (as it is, from what I understand, a proprietary Microsoft Office font for which we, apparently, had to jump through hoops to get permission to use as our standard vs. using a Windows font - like Arial. yeah, I know.)

Anyway, in my quick testing, when we switching from Arial Narrow to Arial with a width factor, it worked as expected - our font was the right size and the returns/text box sizes remained.

So I'm also noticing this now in the newer version of BIM360 (ACC) as well. Is this an issue that someone from Autodesk can acknowledge? Sure would be nice if the tool they provide did the thing it was supposed to. And they wonder why firms are still using Bluebeam Studio for Document review and mark ups. Seems like this is just another half-baked tool that only kinda works.

I'm noticing the issue with Swis721 BlkCn BT as well. Set to 1.0 width factor.

We had this issue when we printed from a remote connection in which the display was set higher than 100%. PC's that VPN'd with a different display set automatically printed as shown. It was the oddest thing. It resolved when the display parameter were set to the same display as in office, or when the VPN versus Remote Desktop configuration changed. Not saying that is the case here, but that was our experience and how we corrected the issue.

Tricia
