PDF with multiple sizes

Hi,

I have a mutisheet PDF with different paper sizes in it: most of the sheets are A0, but some are A4.

When publishing the PDF I can assign a title block to the PDF, but it seems impossible to assign different title blocks for the different sheets.

What I want is that I can assign an A0 Title block to the A0 sheets in the PDF, and another A4 title block for the A4 sheets in the PDF.

Johan,

The workaround I have used is to try and get the multi page PDFs to be all the same size (ie A PDF for A0 and one for A4 etc). It may be a bit difficult because of where the file originated from but if you know your suppliers well, it may work out.

This would make a great update!.

@Anonymous Yes this is the best option, only when workung with different companies you can not always be sur that they are willing to create PDF files based on paper size.

Hi Johan,

Today, Docs supports one title block definition per multi-sheet PDF upload. In other words, if you have a multi-sheet PDF and there are two different styles/layouts of title blocks, you will need to upload the drawings with "title block 1" first and then the drawings with "title block 2" second. We understand the need to support your use case, and have roadmap plans to address that.

Even with sheets the same size and same title block definition, sometimes the title blocks aren't in the exactly the same location on the drawing. We're working on an improvement to auto-align the title block.

your response was in 2016. Today is 11/July/2020. Nothing has been done to solve this unpracticallity if I'm not mistaken, or has it?
