Can I manually change a version number in BiM 360 Docs?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting to the BIM 360 Docs Forum. As of right now you are not able to manually change the version of a document. BIM 360 Docs keeps track of a version history in a numerical order.

There is a feature to take an older version of a document in the Plans folder and "make current". Please see the Restore a Previous Version section of the To Work with Documents.

In Thumbnail or List View, click the Version number next to the document name.
In the Version History dialog, find the version you want to roll back to.
Click Make Current, then Done.
The previous version is restored.

know this is old, but client requires the versioning to be alphbettic up to tender stage.
Can BIM360 detect the version change on uploaded eg C001(A).PDF--> C001(B).PDF

@robber you need to use a different parameter & call it Revision.
Version & Revision are not the same thing.
If you're in the plans folder, you can use a template to make it extract the Revision from the titleblock on upload.

thanks, first time BIM360 user. (and not project admin). Have now read the help on titleblock definitions and it was the lack of a Plans toplevel folder that made the doc control their problem...
